Friend and fellow painter Anders Hansen has called my attention to the Digital Comic Museum, where hundreds of royalty-free comic books from the 1950s are available for free download.
I've been keeping up with the latest Battle Angel Alita comics (AKA: Gunnm) on MangaNelo.com. It's a sort-of Napster for Manga titles. The English translations are pretty bad, but it tides me over until the official print versions are available. The movie version, Alita: Battle Angel will be in theaters in February.
