There are some interesting events coming up in September.
Sat. Sept. 8: Comic Art Con
A convention in New Jersey for dealers of original comic art drawn by professional cartoonists and comic illustrators.
Wed. Sept 12: Animation Nation
A women's animation festival on Chestnut Street in Philly.
Sept. 15–16: Small Press Expo 2018
A convention in Bethesda, Maryland for self-publishers. This is a great place to buy unique comics from independent creators. It's held in a hotel, so you can stay overnight and the convention is right downstairs.
Sept. 14–16: Keystone Comic Con
I haven't seen this one. It will be held at the Philadelphia Convention Center.
Sept. 28–30: Baltimore Comic Con
I went to this convention last year and liked it better than Wizard World Philly. There's more of a focus on comics creators than Hollywood celebrities. The cosplay is also a lot of fun at this convention. There's plenty of room for them to strut around and pose for photos.
