When my mother finished writing her eight-book series (a thirty-year task), she turned her attention to redesigning her website. She asked me to supervise the redesign.
Laurel's site is managed by Maryland-based web design agency Strategia Solutions. The first thing we did was browse Strategia's portfolio of websites to see what they can do. Two sites stood out for us and we decided Laurel's site would combine the best elements from each.
Then we organized Laurel's information to match the needs of her customers. We worked at limiting the number of buttons and amount of scrolling to create a site that's both elegant and efficient.
Strategia Solutions has been hugley helpful, working with us to ensure everything on the site looks the way we want it to look and functions properly. They also designed the snazzy LRL logo that's in the top left corner. Strategia prominently displays Laurel's new site on their portfolio page.
We've reached a point where everything on LaurelHoffmann.com is in good shape. Laurel's fans have been using it, buying books and writing reviews. I even wrote a review on this page in mid-June just to test that it was working properly.
