SEPTA sketching

There's an article in the new issue of Philadelphia Weekly, Drawing SEPTA? Get permission. It points out that SEPTA (in Philadelphia anyway) considers sketching passengers an invasion of their privacy. It's against SEPTA policy, even though it isn't strictly enforced.

I used to draw my fellow SEPTA commuters every day. The way the seating is configured on the regional rail trains, about all you can do is draw the backs of heads and shoes. It's great for developing an understanding of hair and ears.

The only attention my sketching received was some mild interest and the occasional compliment. Lately, I've been spending my train time reading books, but I looked through my sketchbooks this morning and found these from 2015:
