This is the animated short subject from Cartoon Saloon, the Irish animation company that made features The Secret of Kells, Song of the Sea, and The Breadwinner.
Cartoon Saloon uses TVPaint, the same software I've been using, but that's not why I'm rooting for them. Of the five nominees, Late Afternoon has the best ending.
The Pixar nominee Bao will probably win. And some actors and other movies will win Oscars, but who cares about that stuff?
